Some awesome news from Woodware USA

Free inky links stamp pads with purchase...not one but TWO!!
AND...
28 new stamp sets are in the store…you have to check them out! There are some awesome new sets just in time for the holidays!!

My card today uses a beautiful set by Woodware USA called A Winter’s Day. It is so beautiful, and it was really fun to color. I think I must base everything now on whether an image is colorable (I know it’s not a word, but it truly conveys what I want to say!).

I have also used some yummy new paper from Basic Grey called Jovial, and I paired it with Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla by Stampin’ Up. I colored the image with Copics, and I used Stickles to accent. The final touch is three buttons and a big luscious bow made with the Bow Easy.

Thanks for stopping by today…stay tuned tomorrow for another design team creation!

Let it Bling, Let it Bling, Let it Bling

Hi there! Rachel here, my day to post my card was Thursday, but I'm here now, sorry for the delay!

This week's challenge is Glitter and Bling, I went just for Bling...

I used my newest Woodware USA set, Traditional Christmas Greetings and went Clean and Simple...

Challenge #7 - Glitter and Bling

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the final sample for our "Glitter and Bling" challenge this week!  I created my "Glitter and Bling" card using two winter themed sets from Woodware:

Penguin Fun
Polar Bears

Both sets are as cute as can be, I think every set is my new favorite everytime a get a new one!

I stamped two of the trees from Penguin Fun onto the inside of my card along with the igloo and moonlight image from Polar Bears. Then stamped the image of the polar bears sitting, staring up at the sky with StazOn black ink onto acetate.  On the reverse side I glittered them up with a hologram glitter. The tree and moon on the inside are glittered up also.

I layered an embossed Cuttlebug snowflake panel over the front cover of the card, added more glitter and some bling to complete the card.

(Sorry for the bad photos, this was so hard to photograph!  The acetate reflected the photographer - me! - and it was hard to capture the glitter effects.)

That's it this week for the Glitter and Bling Challenge!!  Stop by next week for 7 days of card samples using Woodwared USA Clear Stamps!!

Hugs,
Anne

Tiny Bubbles...

Hey stampers! This week is the perfect week for a stamper like me who LOVES sparkles, bling and...WoodwareUSA! I just love sparkly things and my family knows that whatever sparkles, catches my eye.

For this week's sparkly challenge, I decided to use an adorable baby set called New Baby. As you can see from my card, it's a great baby set that's easy to color and FUN to sparkle up with Diamond Stickles. The bubble bath is just PERFECT for the challenge, don't you think?

I paired the image up with some Imaginisce Paper with tiny little sparkly bubbles. To add additional whimsy, I stitched the border in a whimsical path around the card (I love whimsy and not-so-straight stitches.) I also added some Bazzill Harvest cardstock to give a little contrast to all the blues. A BIG button tied with a ribbon finished it off.

I hope you find some time to add a little bling to your cards. If you do, please share, we'd love to see your creations.
PS...Did you hear WoodwareUSA has added 28 new sets to the website? I've got my eyes on Parcel Train, Pretty Labels, Winter Tots, and Bird Song...among others. What are your new favorites? If you happen to pick up a few sets, make sure you take advantage of the FREE INKY LINKS special!

Come back tomorrow when Anne shares the final Sparkly/Blinged Up creation this week.

Challenge#7: Sparkly Thank U..

Hello Crafty Friends!!!
Happy Friday!! Here is a sparkly card for this week's GLITTER & BLING challenge.
My glitter photography is something I'm not very proud of...it hardly shows the real sparkles. I used SEI shiny foiled designer paper and lots of glitter on my sentiment...for bling part added few rhinestones and rhinestone brads.
Now as you all guessed it ...Yep! Right its TEDDY REMEMBERS stamp set . I know you all must be wondering when I'm gonna move on to another stamp set...well! this will stay as all time favorite one but as WOODWARE USA have added 28 NEW STAMP sets to the store ..I'm going shopping for the new ones. Hope you all find something new too.
The sentiment is from MIXED GREETINGS stamp set.

Bring on the Bling!!!

That is our Challenge for this week. Bling it up! I stamped and embossed the butterflies and then I painted them with Shimmerz! Good thing I am a fan and have like every color because I used alot of them! Then I used Log Cabin Smooch Spritz for the embossed square panel... and that is shimmery too! The flowers have glittery brads on them and I had to quit there otherwise... this card would have been totally crazy with glitter and bling!
Please note that we are having a followers contest... when we get to 100... we will have some blog candy!!!
and do y'all know about the special? Order any stamp set and get 2 free INKY LINKS! What are INKY LINKS you ask? they are really cool stamp pads that come in 8 colors. They are wonderful for kids... or general stamping as well! They have cool little hooks on them that join them all together! So thanks for popping in and stay tuned for more glittery fun tomorrow!

Challenge #7 Glitter and Bling

Hi, Harriet here.  I don't use glitter often and each time I do I remember why I don't!!  I have glitter all over me - much more than what is on the card!  LOL.  And you can hardly see the glitter here.  I used Art Institute Crystal glitter on all the areas where there is snow.  This image is from A Winter's Day - one of my favorite Woodware sets.  I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored the image with water color pencils and an aquabrush.  I used Quickie Glue for the glitter.  I layered the image on a white mat and then onto the card front - all layers using foam squares.  For the bling I used 3 soilver pearls.
I hope you play along this week and if you do - just leave a link to your card in the comments here!  And come back tomorrow to see what Dawn created with glitter and bling!
Supplies: Stamps - A Winter's Day; Ink - Versafine Onyx Black; Paper - PaperTrey; Misc - Art Institute Glitter; Quickie Glue Pen; Silver Pearls, Foam Squares, Water Color Pencils, Aquabrush

A New Week at Woodware USA!!

We have a freebie to give away when we reach 100 followers,
so become a follower for your chance to win!!
It’s Monday, and I’m here with a new challenge for you from our Woodware USA design team! Bonnie Rose has had to leave the team, and we will truly miss her. However, the show must go on, and I will be kicking off the challenges each Monday from now on! Normally, I’m a hide in bed on Monday mornings, but here I am, and I’m ready to go.

This week’s challenge is to use GLITTER and BLING in your creations. Well, sometimes I feel like I came out of the womb destined to be glittery! And, the way I find little specks all over my house, I think that I still haven’t lost my glitz!

I have used the adorable set—Penguin Fun for my card today, and it is a fun one! I also coupled it with some marvelous Christmas paper from My Mind’s Eye. I’ve also greatly distressed as many edges as I could! We hope that you will join us and play along!!

Next, I have my card from last week’s challenge—paper piecing. I have used the adorable Mary and Friends for my inspiration today. My usual day to post was this past Saturday, but I decided to just run the two together. If I could have paper pieced the girl’s skin, I would have. Everything else is paper-pieced using Green at Heart by Basic Grey. I just love that paper, and I was able to use my scraps on this one! The cardstock colors are Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry by Stampin’ Up. I used an EK Success border punch and some SU ribbon and punches.
Check back tomorrow for more design team inspiration!!

Challenge #6 - Paper Piecing

Hi Everyone,

Anne here to bring you the final sample this week of our "Paper Piecing" challenge.

I know you're used to seeing the cute images that the Woodware DT is so great at presenting to you, so I thought I'd give you a different look at some of the more bolder styles offered by Woodware USA.  I love this set, its versatile and unique!

This card was made with the fabulous "Flora" set and stamped and embossed onto Basic Grey Wysteria DP and white cardstock.  I combined a couple of the images that come with this set -- it's so versatile, so much fun to work with!!

The corners are Cuttlebug dies; I used both the outside ("positive") and inside ("negative") pieces of the die cuts to embellish the card.  I added gold colored faux rhinestones to complete the design!

Thanks for coming by today! Check back tomorrow for a brand new challenge and a week of new samples!!

Hugs,
Anne

Introducing...Inky Links....

Hey everyone! I promised I'd post this weekend and share a little about the new Inky Links on the website. These inks are so fun! I take them to school with me and my students even enjoy stamping with them. They had a blast stamping mathematical patterns and creating secret color coded patterns for everyone to solve. If you are a teacher or a parent, you might just consider purchasing a set for the classroom (great for teacher gifts).

Because they are so inexpensive, it doesn't scare me so bad for my kiddos to be using my inks. You know, REAL stampers NEVER share their INKS with KIDS!!! That's just sinful, right? Well, these inks were made especially for kids, or the kid at heart! They pick a nice bit of ink on the clear polymer stamps. As you can see from my sample swatchbook, I used the Wizardry stamp set to really highlight the color. Pick up a few (or even the whole set of eight) when you are shopping for stamps today. PS...I think Andre is going to be running a very special promotion for them, so watch the website!
So without, further adieu, I present to you INKY LINKS! Click on the photos to go directly to the ink of your choice.

Happy Stamping...Go Get INKY!

Kerry

Is it Christmas yet???

Hee Hee!!! It's Kerry for another paper pieced creation. I hope you've enjoyed the fabulous creations this week and have become inspired to create some of your own paper pieced works of art! If you do, please share because you can win a fabulous prize!

I started out by cutting an oval in the patterned paper then decided that would be my layout inspiration...Lo and behold, I see Piali using an oval cut-out cardfront on her card too. Wierd...That may be some inky vibrations channeling through or something. In any case, I decided to use my Teddy Remembers set.
I've collected teddy bears for YEARS and this set just had to be in my collection. You know a Teddy collection isn't complete ever...even if it does have polymer stamps in it!

I thought the card was a bit festive so I'm going to put it in my Christmas Card stash for this year! One down, a billion to go!

Hope your weekend is fabulous and you get an opportunity to ink something up!
Stay tuned tomorrow for another paper pieced creation to wrap up the week!

I paper pieced the little Fairy's vest and pants, then fussy cut the whole thing out and added it to the main panel. I really like the Fall feel of this, even without the standard Orange and deep reds I still feel very Fallish looking at this. :)

Paper Piecing with the Pals!

How cute are the precious lions? I used this weeks technique of paper piecing to make a cute baby boy card! Why a baby boy card? Becasue the adoption of my son after 14 months is finally FINAL!!! So I felt the need to celebrate with a boys card! I colored this image from Woodware USA JUNGLE PALS set with copic markers and stamped the different manes on other papers. I cut them out and adhered them to my lions. I love that they give the lions different personalities. We would love to see your creations too....so be sure to leave your link in the comments section and play along! Tune in tomorrow for another take on this super fun technique! Thanks for popping in!

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3?

Hello stampers!

What a fun challenge we have this week! It's hard to keep so constrained to such a short recipe and I found myself putting things back... I felt a bit like a kid going through witdrawal! Anyway, I managed to create a card that followed the rules...boy that was hard!

For this card, I used two new purchases from the convention in VA Beach. You know, attending a convention and getting a close-up view of the stamp sets really makes you appreciate the designs a lot more. Some sets that were at the bottom of my list moved to the top just because of a real-life look! This set Home Sweet Home is one in particular.

I bought the set to make cards for a friend who just moved but also because of the little GRASS strip. Yep, that grass strip will come in handy and my wheels were spinning as I saw the set hanging in the booth! I just love the versatility.
Since the images in this set reminded me of doodles, I decided to color my card with solid coloring and no shading of my Copics. If you look close enough, you can even see that I added a little paper piecing of the grass...
Now look at that stamp set again...No sun right? CORRECT! I pulled out another set called Tiny Frames which is one of the least expensive sets in the collection! It's a fabulous and versatile set! I used the little circle with spikes to represent a sun. It works! I also added the dooding around the border to mimic the same pattern in the sun.
Hope you have a BLAST trying this challenge out! Please consider posting your creation following the challenge guidelines: 1 Ribbon, 2 Circles, 3 Flowers (You don't have to use a WoodwareUSA set but if you do, you will get an additional chance in the drawing for a special WOODWAREUSA prize from ME!

Make sure to post your link in the inlinks for this week. You have until September 17 to post your entry. I'll have Mr. Linky draw a winner on September 18 and send out the prize PRONTO!

PS...If you're wondering, The pattern paper for this creation is from Scenic Route. The button is from Basic Grey and the Copic colors are: R24, R22, Y19, Y06, YG23, B00, BV11, E33.

Happy Stamping!

Kerry

It's Nancy here!! Aren't you excited about Kerry's challenge...make sure to play along!! I loved this recipe challenge because everyone comes up with such different things. Mine is completely different!! I had a rather strange process to this card! I started with the image and I colored the birds blue. From there, I cut it into a circle. Next, I took out this glittery paper that I bought last week at Paper Source. Using my Creative Memories cutting system, I nested the two circles. Then, I went on a search for the right patterned paper. Well, I hit my Basic Grey scrap stash, and I found the Euphoria. Now, I could color the present. I paired it with the Tempting Turquoise and Rose Red from Stampin' Up. I had to add in the three flowers and one ribbon. HMMM...what do I do now? Well, now you see what I did! It reminds me a bit of an ornament, but I kept it...it grows on me!!

Check back tomorrow from more inspiration from the design team.

Challenge#5: 1-2-3 flowers..

Hello Everyone!!
Its Friday again!! YAY!!! The week really went by fast!
As you know by now this week we've a recipe challenge...
1-2-3
1 Ribbon, 2 Circles and 3 Flowers
So here is what I cooked with this recipe and MIXED GREETINGS stamp set!!

This stamp set is a MUST HAVE!! Its not a plain ole greetings set but it has lots of small images that can be used for making lovely cards...
I stamped the flower with three different colored ink and added some glitter for my focal image.
For 2 circles I used 2 buttons.. and this polka dotted satin ribbon is one of my favorite ones, I use it a lot.

So play along with this 1-2-3 recipe..make sure to post a link to your project ...HERE.
 Thanks for stopping by..
