Who's a Star then

Today we have Crafty Debs with her take on this weeks Woodware sketch
Debs
The stamp is from the Francoise Collection of Clear Magic Stamps Graffiti Super Star. I love the little words that come with the main image and I am sure that they will have lots of uses.
For the background Crafty Debs has used the Stephanie Bernard Dye Spray inks from Clearsnap, in Banana, Tangerine, Strawberry and Bluberry on the Woodware Watercolour Card.
The strip across the bottom, I think turns the card into a crystal ball, and what better thing to predict? Crafty Debs has run her card through an embossing folder, then used Metallic Wax Paste to give the lovely metallic sheen.
Pop over to see what else Crafty Debs has been up too.

A Little Bit Funky

I have stretched the theme a tiny little bit.
31
The card is a normal shape but it is in a funky bag, with a gift!
I have to thank Stampy Gwen from The Stamp Pad for the idea
33
Gwen give me this about a year ago and I had been looking for a reason to make one! (and I didn't even have to pull it to pieces to work it out, which I am very pleased about, it did take a couple of goes to work it out)

23
When making the card I cut my Mixed Media to fit the space. Placed the stamps on.
22
Then added the block
24
and stamped! The stamps are Just Words Birthday Kisses and Ranunculus from Jane Gill.
When finished you have a double sided pouch
29
I made a card for each side and added some earrings
16
The flower is white and I have coloured it with the ink and added a brad and Steampunk Butterfly.
28
This finishes off one side
32
and I have completed it with a bow.
So I hope that you forgive my none funky card!
You will find full step by step instructions for the gift bag on the Woodware Blog, so why not have a go?

Funky Card 2

This week on the Woodware blog we are looking at Funky Shaped cards, Jane got us off to a great start yesterday, I am not sure if mine lives up to it!
11
This is a shape of card that I have been wanting to do for a long time, and hopefully it fits the bill.
First take a sheet of light weight  12 x 12 card,
8
score it in the middle and in both directions and then make a cut along one of the score lines to the centre.
7
Cut off the three marked corners. 6cm, 9cm, and 12cm
6
It folds up like this, the gaps can be any size that you want. Tape up the open folded up sides. Because I wanted to make three tags I have made three pockets and the card does not open, but two pockets and an opening card would work fine.
5
Then I hand cut my 3 tags, here I have used the Just Words stamp May all your Dreams. I have used the Contemporary Tartan Pad, on all of the tags and the front.
I have stamped with the Wave Crafters Ink and used it for the edging too.
4
This is an old stamp of Francoise's Sometimes Clear Magic. The ribbon is the Distressed Cotton.
2
I love this new house from Francoise Home Collage
1
I have paper pieced the house with the Tartan pad.
9
I have deliberately  made the tags different sizes.
13
The Just a Little Note on the front is also a new Just Words Tiddler.

Funky Shaped Cards

This week we are looking at Funky Shaped cards, and first we have Jane the Flower Girl
Jane
jane has used three of her new Clear Magic stamps:- Small FennelLarge Fennel, and Herbs.
Jane has die cut all of the circles then stamped them and inked the circles, then put them together in a fantastic funky shape. Such a clever way to create the card. It would be great as a small scrapbook too.
When the card is folded the greeting is on the front

The card closed with the greeting on the front.
the greeting comes from True Friends, another of Jane's new stamps.
Jane has lots of pictures, tips and instructions on The Flower Girl Blog if you fancy having a go at this card.

Curly Happy Birthday

I have lots on curves in my card
3
The stamp is one of the latest Just For Words Happy Birthday
my swirls are from the Clear Scraps Swirls Acrylic Border. I have used a large stencil brush and an ink pad to colour the card.
7
then I got Jane's Going Round in Circles stamps and placed them on a big block.
6
I checked the placement then stamped them in the space.

I did another strip with the stamped image 8
I added some ribbon
3
and that's it!

very simple and very curvy.

Woodware - Scallops, Curves and Curls

This week we are off to a cracking start with a card from Crafty Debs
Deb
For her curls  Debs has used Curly Stitched Background deesigned by Francoise Read. Debs has stamped it with the Kaleidacolor Autumn Leaves
Deb1
the flowers are from the Mini Flowers set by Jane Gill the text comes from Birthday Text Box also by Jane, they are Debs circles.
Debs has used the original Fingerguard trimmer to cut the scallops down the Kraft Card.
Debs has used Tombow pens to colour the flowers for stamping.
I love the way that Debs has positioned the text, first by cutting half circles in the Kraft card and then using the punch as a mask to the text stamp.

Here we have our last glimpse of what is coming from Woodware for the spring.
Jane has two new Bubble Bloom stamps this time meet Melanie JGS448 this card was designed by Kim.
and here we have Lynell JGS449 with some very tiny bubbles perfect for Stickles, or gems.
This stamp Loopy Flower JGS441 will also be great for Stickles and gems.
