Woodware's Whimsical Flower Sally Anne - Take 3

Here we are with Whimsical Flower Sally Anne again this time from Jane the Flower Girl the stamp designer.
Jane
Jane has added a hand drawn border around the flower and on one of the layers that she has used for mounting, with a Sakura Micron Pen.

Jane1
The colouring has been done with Sakura Colouring Pencils and Jane has blended several colours to give depth to the image.
While it is surprising that three of the team have chosen the same stamp to use, I just love that it shows how a stamp is just a tool to unlock your creativity!

Woodware's - Whimsical Flower - Sally Anne - Take 2

Today we have a card from Kim.
using Jane's Whimsical Flower -  Sally Anne it has been one of the most popular stamps in this release.

Kim has stamped on to some background paper from her stash that gives it a great distressed look.
Kim1
The words are from the same stamp set, I like the way that Kim has stamped the words and then chopped them so that she could add them in random positions. Kim has used silicone to attach the words.
I love the way that Kim has coloured the image and her placement of them on the card, it is quite a large stamp and I love the way that Kim has decided not to use just the one image, as I probably would have.

Jane the Flower Girl today, and Jane is definitely a cat girl.
Jane
and again we have some doodling. The cats are Mr and Mrs Cat a Clear Magic set designed by Jane.
Jane1
the cats a plain, and it looks as if Jane has had fun giving them both interesting patterns with a Sakura Micron Pen. Jane then got carried on and doodled all around the card and turned some of the doodles into flowers, the colour comes from Sakura Stardust pens which adds a touch of sparkle.

Cats and Dogs - Meet Peggy

Today I am thinking about my  Dog, I thought that it was a good reason to do a scrap book page with my dog.
6
This is Peggy, and the words sum her up perfectly
 8
yes I know she looks angelic but she certainly has her moments! I love the Dylusions stamps from Dyan Reaveley this one is from the Don't Hold Back set, they are great for scrap-book pages and of course art journals which are Dyan's speciality, as well as cards for friends with a sense of humour.
1
The other stamp set that I have used is Huge Dog the Clear Magic set from the Francoise Collection. I have stamped the dog on white card with black powder and twice in white powder on black card. Then I Zentangled the letters with the Sakura White Gelly Roll and a Black Sakura Micron pen on the white card.
2
I even used my craft knife to cut out the centres of the d and g
5
I then used foam pads to add depth to the page.
3
The dogs head and paws are from the same set.
4
I used a watermark pad and black powder on the black card to make the paws just visible.
7
I layered the pieces on some white card then started at the top and placed the two photographs and the dog layer down the 12 x 12 page.

Good Luck Cat

Today it is the turn of Kim she is sharing a cat card, it is a very happy card with so many wonderful details
Kim
Kim has paper pieced Francoise's Huge Good Luck Clear Magic stamp it is a great stamp for paper piecing as are all of Francoise's Huge words.
Kim1 and then we have the lucky cat from Francoise's Groovy Cats Clear Magic set, I love her glittery nails! Kim has done all of her stamping on to patterned papers, the dots look really good on the cat.
Of course because it is paper piecing, Kim has gone into production and has a selection of cards over on her blog showing a huge variation of designs on this theme so pop over for some inspiration!

Happy Wedding Day

Happy Days, and really one of the happiest days on our lives is often our wedding day, once we are relaxed enough to enjoy our selves!
1
I have used The Bride and Groom designed by Francoise Read. It is a good sized stamp that will make a good big card. My card it 7 x 7 inches, but I have cut it from a sheet of Textura white 12 x 12 card.
4
I folded the front so that it is 5 inches and the back 7 inches.
2
I used my circle cutter to get a 5.75 inch circle. I have used Stampendosu Grape embossing powder around the edges, I love using embossing powder for the texture and the shine. The card is from the Glamour Textura Card Stock 6 x 6 pad
3
the bride and groom have been embossed in Grape too and highlighted with Stickles.
5
The words are from Jane's Hedgerow Clear Magic stamp. I have used my Tag Top punch and then rounded the corners of my strips with the regular corner rounder.
7
The heart is one of the small metal ones and I have Frantaged it with powders from the Stampendous Purple Encrusted Jewel Kit.
6
I added a bow at the other end with 15mm organza
8
and there we are a card for a very happy day!

Happy Day for a Happy Birthday

Kim today with her happy days card, and Kim has gone for bright colours as they make her happy.
Kim
Kim has used Jane's Happy Birthday by Hand Clear Magic Stamp.  Kim has stamped on water colour card and then coloured it with bright dye inks.
Kim1
Using the dye inks on the water colour card makes it easy to get a beautiful blended colour.
As usual Kim has a great selection of alternative cards over on her blog

Happy Flowers

Crafty Debs today and Flowers certainly make her happy, Debs is an award winning gardener so flowers are bound to give her happy days!
Debs
For her card Debs has used Jane's Clear Magic Flower in a Row stamp. Debs has inked a lovely soft background using a circle punched mask for the sun, using both the positive and the negative.
Debs1
The image has been coloured with Koi Brush Pens and then Debs has highlighted some of the flower centres with Glossy Accents. I love the little Ladybird embellishment on the leaf.
Debs2
the sentiment comes from the Carol Bubble Bloom Clear Magic stamp also designed by Jane. The mini butterflies are fluttering over the card.
Debs3
Well as for these strawberries they look good enough to eat, but I wouldn't recommend it, they have been punched from a heart and the mini maple leaf. Crafty Debs has shaped the hearts and then added Glossy Accents and the maple leaves.
A great card that is sure to make the person who receives it have a happy day you will find more details of how Crafty Debs made the card over on her blog!

Butterfly Sparkle to Make You Happy

Jane the Flower Girl starts us off with something that makes her happy.

Jane
Jane has got out one of the first of her ever popular Bubble Stamps this one is  Bubble Butterfly you can also get a set of three smaller Butterflies that will work in exactly the same way, or they are available as Peel Off's they butterflies are all here
Jane1
I don't know a crafter that doesn't like using up there stash, if only so we can replace it, but it does make me happy to feel that I am using something from the shelf! The perfect way to do that is the Bubble stamps, and that is what Jane has been up to here, with gems and of course Stickles the very best of all the glitter glues! I do think that calling Stickles glitter glue is a bit of an insult as they are so special.
Jane2
Jane has used Sakura Koi Brushpens to ink the stamp so that she can have two colours on it.
Who couldn't be happy looking at the this finished card, not only has it made Jane happy to make it but it is sure to give someone a very happy day when they receive it?!?

Winter Trees Shaker Card

Jane the Flower Girl is last to share her Shaker Card this week, and again we have Christmas, just like Kim, Jane has been in Christmas mode finishing off the samples for the catalogue

Jane
Jane has used Winter Trees in a simple black and white, which really makes the shaker part stand out (yes I did mean the play on words)
Jane2
Jane has up-cycled some plastic packaging (she has a large house so can save everything) In the Shaker she has punched a variety of Christmas shapes in different sizes, and some silver Micro Beads
Jane1
The shaker part has been created like this. The aperture has been cut so that the plastic fits snugly in it. The card at the back has been stamped with the trees, but notice that the back card is almost as large as the front one, this helps as you can check it for placemant before adding the shaker part and trim if necessary, if you are very precise you can tape it along one edge on the back when you are happy then fold it back out of the way.
Jane has taped the plastic in place and then filled it with her pieces, then sealed it with the tree stamped card and mounted it on black and then a folded card.
A very clever way to make a shaker card and again no foam tape in sight!
Jane the Flower Girl has more step by step pictures over on her blog so pop over for a look.

Woodware Whimsical Flower Shaker Card

I love Crafty Debs take on a shaker card, The flower could have been specially designed for it.
Debs
Crafty Debs has used the Whimsical Flower Daisy May designed by Jane. Crafty Debs has stamped Daisy May three times on different papers.
Debs1Debs has cut the centre from the stamped image for the top frame.
build your box for your shaker with on the stamped image and trap your beads with the foam tape around the oval shape, and then add the petal frame to hide the workings.
Crafty Debs has used the Double Ended Etching Tool, to shape the petal frame before adding it to the shaker section.
Crafty Debs has added lots of extra details to make this a really special card, pop over to her blog for more information about how she has achieved this.

Woodware Shaker Christmas - It is never too early for Christmas

do you think Christmas when you think Shaker?  Gill does
GillI know it is early for Christmas, but I am sure that some of you have started your cards already. Gill has used an old, but still available Francoise Collection stamp Christmas Trees.
The trees have been stamped in black and coloured.
Gill1Next Gill has made the box for the shaker part. The frame has been cut with a die. Gill has included a step by step to let you see how to tape your box on her blog, so pop over for full details. Gill has used a mixture of beads from her stash to fill the card.
The bit that I always find tricky about shaker cards is that the loose pieces get stuck on the tape at the bottom of the panel, so I think that Gill has been very clever in using the pattern on the paper to disguise any stuck pieces at the bottom of the panel.
I really like the way that Gill has created the shaker part in the centre of a square card, and used the same paper, which is an old Magenta one, which I think I have in my stash!
The beads that Gill has added make a really good finishing touch.
Don't forget that Gill has step by step on Gill's Crafty Journey.

Cat Nap...and Cat Hair everywhere

Today we have a hobby card from Pam the Pampered Stamper, but I am really not sure if this is a hobby or a pastime what do you think?
52516_Catnap
Sleeping certainly is something that cats put a lot of effort into, finding just the right place, that will cause most havoc has always to be considered.
52516_Catnap_cu
The stamp is a lovely Clear Magic one of Francoise's Your New Home. I think I would like his sofa that Pam has paper pieced with the Elderberry Perfect Printscat 6 x 6 pad. The lampshade is rather nice too!
52516_Catnap_flatcu
Pam has done lots of fussy cutting here, you can imagine the cat rising and falling as he breaths, the way the do in cartoons.
52516_Catnap_side
The couch is sitting on one of the great Stampendous Fitted Frame dies, that have been designed to work with the Stampendous stamps, but will work with any image.
Well whether sleeping is a hobby or not it is a lovely card, and I can think of a few people who do use sleeping as a hobby! Pop over to see what Pam says and what else she has been up to this week at The Pampered Stamper.

Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit Bag

Crafty Debs today with a card that uses hobby stamps designed  by Jane.
Debs
The Rucksack and the Walking Boots are great stamps for all outdoor types.
Debs2
the boots have been stamped on white Shrink Plastic and then mounted them on punched circles
Debs3
the rucksack has been stamped on Craft Canvas to give it an authentic look with great texture, it has been coloured with Sakura pencils.
Debs1
The background is on an old map which Debs has stamped with the boot prints (come with the boots) and the Herbs Clear Magic stamp also designed by Jane. Debs has die cut the front of her card to give it a very interesting look, it makes me think of travel I think because it is a glimpse into something.
Crafty Debs has a full tutorial on her blog so pop over for step by step instructions.
