Challenge #12 - Halloween Colors

Happy Halloween Everyone!

The DT Challenge this week has been Halloween Colors!  Here's my card to finish off the week of samples for you.

I used the ever so sweet set called "Get Well Soon".  Colored the teddy with copics in my Halloween colors and layered onto Basic Grey Fusion DP and orange CS.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!  Be safe out there!

Heee Hee Heee...

Trick or Treat! Tomorrow is Halloween and I can think of no better way to avoid eating all the candy in my candy bucket than to lock myself in my stamping room to make a few festive creations!

Halloween Colors? Well, I guess you can say the traditional colors are green, purple and orange...so I think I followed the line pretty well this week even though I added a few more to the mix.

I decided to make a square cardfront that will double as a scrapbook page for my three year old niece. She loves playing dress-up all year long and has been wearing her costume (a cute little bat fairy) for WEEKS around her house. I don't make pages often, but Halloween and Christmas seem to get the most showcase in my scrapbook layouts anyway.

On this creation, I used one of my most favorite WoodwareUSA sets (I think I say that about all of my sets, but it's TRUE!) called Mary and Friends. I added a little witch hat (QuickCutz) to Mary's head so she and her friend "Boo" can spook the town Sunday night!

I noticed something as I was making this card. I always seem to add a few more curls to Mary's hair. For some reason, I think a fuller set of hair is easier to color with my copics. What would you do? Keep it the same or add some more?

I hope you have a fun Sunday evening and have some fun stamping too! Remember, If you want to play along in the "Make an Everyday Set HALLOWEENIE" Contest, the deadline is tonight. So post your card on Piali's post HERE and you will have a chance to win a WOODWARE PRIZE!!!

Boo!!!

Hello Everyone!!
Its Friday...my day again! This week's challenge is Halloween Colors.
We always don't have all the stamps for every ocassion ...I know I don't! Sometimes we don't want to spend on specific holidays/celebrations stamps because we won't get to use them all year long....but we all love to make cards for all of them...like Halloween !
So today I used a non halloween image with few seasonal papers and some supplies from my backyard to make a Halloween card..
How cute is that puppy witch on the broom!!!
I've used A Dog's Life stamp set.
Just tied some Raffia to a piece of twig to make the flying broom... then added  witches hat to the cute puppy.
I used some of Woodware USA's fabulous Peel off sickers too.
So here is cute Halloween card with everyday stamp set !

If you would like to play along with us you can link your creation here.
You don't have to use a WoodwareUSA set but if you do, you will get an additional chance in the drawing for a special WOODWAREUSA prize.
You've until October 30th to post your entry...so get your stamps out and have fun!!

Thanks for stopping by..
Hugs~

Halloween Color Challenge

I am not really into Halloween so I don't have much in the way of Halloween images.  I took out all of my Woodware stamp sets and the cat that came with the House Proud set made me think of a black cat for Halloween - and the rest came together from there.  I paper pieced the curtains with "Halloween" paper and I colored the Halloween eve sunset with water color pencils and an Aquabrush.  I stamped the cat on the windowsill and colored him in with a black Copic marker (it is a line art image).  I just penciled in the moon rising.  The curtains are up on foam squares.
Just a reminder - Woodware is giving a free ink pad with every order until December 25.
Please come back tomorrow to see what Dawn created for Halloween!
Supplies: Stamps - WoodwareUSA House Proud; Ink - Versafine Onyx Black; Paper - PaperTrey, Halloween dp from stash; Misc - Water color pencils, Aquabrush, Copic Marker, Foam Squares

Boo...it's a Halloween challenge!

It’s Monday…where did the weekend go? Sorry my post is a bit late, but I battled a migraine last night, and it won, so I hit my bed at an unprecedented time for me…8:00! I’m better now, but I’m battling that lovely headache hangover.

This week’s challenge at Woodware USA is to use Halloween colors. How fitting, right? I was also able to use an adorable set called Wizardry! It has many different sayings and images, and it doesn’t have to be used solely for Halloween. Check it out HERE. Don’t forget that you can still get your two free Inky Link stamp pads with any purchase from Woodware USA. Tell your friends!! Check out the Woodware USA design team blog for more inspiration!
