Welcome our guest Designer and Another CAS Card

Ya know...some weeks I have it and some weeks I don't and SOME weeks I have it... but I forgot where I put it! Well, that is what happened to me this week... so I am posting my clean and simple card a little bit late. I water colored my dragon and cut her out. The I added the embossed "reptile" paper and the ribbon. Since I just had my anniversary... I needed to add the hearts...lovey dovey!
So that is my card. I was worried that clean and simple might be hard for me... but I rather enjoyed the simple process and i am pleased with the result!
Now... lets give a great big warm Woodware USA welcome to our guest designer for April, Wendy Stamey . Please make sure you say Hello and stop by her blog to check out all of the gorgeousness that can be found there! Truly inspiring! Well... thanks for letting me be late and keep watching this spot for a fun Thursday challenge for our designers!

Halloween Colors Challenge... My Turn!

OK.. My take on Halloween colors are green, orange and purple. So... I thought... why not use this awesome Flower Frames set. I stamped 4 images... colored them in with the challenge colors and then I arranged them in this pattern, I stamped the little vine on the orange paper to make my background paper. And no way could I make a card with no bling...people would think I was ill! SOOO, I added some gems in the corner and one in the center. Please check back soon as we will be having a blog hop featuring some of the new sets that we have... and we will be making some changes to our challenges... so stay tuned!

Paper Piecing with the Pals!

How cute are the precious lions? I used this weeks technique of paper piecing to make a cute baby boy card! Why a baby boy card? Becasue the adoption of my son after 14 months is finally FINAL!!! So I felt the need to celebrate with a boys card! I colored this image from Woodware USA JUNGLE PALS set with copic markers and stamped the different manes on other papers. I cut them out and adhered them to my lions. I love that they give the lions different personalities. We would love to see your creations too....so be sure to leave your link in the comments section and play along! Tune in tomorrow for another take on this super fun technique! Thanks for popping in!

I did the one ribbon, two cirlces and the three flowers recipe and I ...(get this) DID NOT USE ONE SINGLE STAMP!!! Now, don'tget me wrong, I LOVE to stamp,but... these make the quickest and I think really pretty cards when time is of the essence.  SOOO... step out of the box and do something fun, use our recipe and link it to us...we would love to see what you create! Anything Goes?OK... How About Glitter Stained Glass Alligators

I LOVE to do anything goes... I LOVE thinking outside the box and here is what I did. I stamped the alligator from JUNGLE PALS onto acetate with stazon ink in jet black. Then, on the same side that I stamped on, I filled in various areas of the gators with crystal effects and dumped glitter on it and repeated the process with different colors and glitters and here is what I came up with. I used pop dots to life the acetate alligator panel off the paper so the light would show through and I covered the dots with the leaves that I cut out. I added the leaves under the panel too and got out the stickles and jazzed them all up! This was really a fun technique and it was funny too because Milo, my 15 year old Jack Russell STILL has glitter on him... and so does my hubby...(but that can be our little secret!)
Thanks for popping in!

A Little Treat For Someone Sweet!

By: Dawn Knight

This weeks Challenge is to make a Lunchbox treat for back to school. I made this cute little milk carton with the School Tots set from Woodware.I colored the crayons with copics and cut them all out and adhered them to the base of my milk carton. For the closure, I used a little clip and I used poly shrink plastic to make the 3 little apple charms also from the School Tots set.  Now, to make sure my darling had the right lunch box, I made her this little tag to go on it. She will be starting Kindergarten in a French Immersion program, so I used the colors in the French Flag... red, white and blue... How Perfect! I die cut her name and it is ready to tie on her lunch bag! Please join us in the challenge and make a treatie for your school sweetie... and share it with us! we would LOVE to see it! Woodware USA Mermaid Easel Gift Card Holder... So Easy!

I made this super cute easel card by using my nesties for the fun shape and my WOODWARE USA stamps! I LOVE mermaids... I kinda like to think i used to be one... but that is a whole other post... ANYWAY...I stamped her on neenah paper and colored her with my copic makers. I added Teal Shimmerz to her tail... cuz, she is a MERMAID and they HAVE sparkly tails ya know! Then I thought that this would make the cutest gift card holder just by slipping one in there... so I used a rub on that I had that had that sentiment of a GIFT FOR YOU! Who doesn't like to see that? Well... thanks for popping in and keep your eyes peeled as we will be announcing the WWUSA DT and I am sure that there will be festivities to follow!

Polar Bear Outing... Quick and Simple!

This was a quickie... and that is a GOOD THING! I like to take snippets of time during my child filled day and create... and I have to be QUICK! Since I know that I am not the only one with little ones out there... I wanted to let you all know that this card took like 10 minutes to make! I also added some stickles to the white EP to make it more "snowy". I Used a black marker to make the eyes stand out more... and here it is! OH YEAH...
