A Very Elegant Christmas Tree

Crafty Debs has been very crafty with this traditional Christmas card

The stamp is the Traditional Tree from Jane's new Clear Magic release.

the tree has been stamped in dark green and then coloured with Sakura colouring pencils. The tree has been finished off with Sparkler Gems Peel Offs that come in various colours. The tree has been layered behind a die cut window, Debs has also used an embossing folder on the card layer.

the Punched tag has been stamped with the greeting from the same stamp set, but the craftiness comes in the way that Debs has stamped the words. On the stamp they are in a row, but that didn't fit with Debs design so not to be stopped she has masked off the words individually so that she could stamp them where she wanted them on the tag. Don't you just love stamps?

The white on white dotty ribbon finishes off this very elegant card.

Pointillism for Christmas

Jane the Flower Girl has created a great look for these snowmen

Jane has used her Skating Snowmen simply stamped them and given them a vintage feel with her choice of colours. Jane has used the Woodware Scruffer to distress the edges and added some colour around the edge.

Of course Jane has added some Stickles to sparkle up the card, and the colouring is Pointillism which we featured last year.

Pointillism /ˈpɔɪntɨlɪzəm/ is a technique of painting in which small, distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form an image. Georges Seurat and Paul Signac developed the technique in 1886, branching from Impressionism. The term “Pointillism” was first coined by art critics in the late 1880s to ridicule the works of these artists, and is now used without its earlier mocking connotation. The movement Seurat began with this technique is known as Neo-Impressionism. The Divisionists, too, used a similar technique of patterns to form images, though with larger cube-like brushstrokes.

I love this card from Jane the Flower Girl I think that it would be very relaxing to make a few of these in an evening.

Blooming Gems

Last this week on our bling bing is Kim

Kim has used Jane's Bubble Bloom Lynell, any of Jane's bloom stamps would be great for using up gems but Lynell works really well.

Kim has stamped and embossed in black to give a strong line for the gems to stand out against.

Kim has then filled in with a mixture of Pearls in various sizes, Elements and Nailheads.

Kim has stamped and embossed in black around the edge of the red panel. A touch of Stickles adds some extra sparkle. I hope that you can see that Kim has used a touch of bleach to take out some colour from the flower heads around the edges.

I love this card a great use of gems and a wonderful way to show case the bubble blooms Kim has of course got an extra card over on her blog so pop over and have a look.

Merry and Bright Christmas

I love this card, this gem Christmas tree is rather fun I think I will make more of them

I have used the Mark Richard Mosaics

The Mosaics are pearly little square. First I made my tree pattern so I knew how big it would be.

Because I had laid out my tree I was able to start by ripping the card and then building my pot with Mosaics.

I used Elements as my decorations for my tree.

I have edged the card with Jungle Crafters ink from ClearSnap.

I think that the Merry and Bright words from Jane's Clear Magic Snowflake Flower are perfect for my tree.

I have folded and A4 card in half and randomly stamped Jane's Music Notes I have used ColorBox Raisin Pigment ink.

I added some Burlap Ribbon.

A Girl Can Never Have too Many Shoes

Today we have a card from Jane the Flower Girl

This is a card that Jane made for the latest Woodware catalogue with one of her new Clear Magic stamps Glamour Shoes.

Jane has decorated her shoes with a huge range of Self Adhesive Gems I like the mixture of shapes and sizes of Crystals. Jane has also added Pearls in various sizes, the Clusters are great for this. I like the way that Jane has attached the shoes so that they are slightly above the card, she has also cut away the red card at the top of the card to show off the patterned paper that is on the inside.

Across the card Jane has used the Antique Floral Cassette in her Crafty Edger.

Musical Black and White

Jane the Flower Girl has gone very musical this week for her black and white card.

Jane has used her Clear Magic stamps Music Notes and Sheet Music on this card. The small notes are from the Music Peel Offs.

You can see from the close up that Jane has used grey in for the sheet music and black for the notes from the Music Note set of stamps. The topper has been made from the Clear Scraps Music Acrylic Border which Jane has carefully embossed with the Stampendous Aged Black Powder. The Acrylic Borders can be shaped when heated, but Jane has just heated it while it is flat on a Hot Stuff Mat, just leave it in place until it cools.

To make a wrap for the card Jane has used the Scalloped Shoulder Tag Top Punch, the ribbon is a great touch.

The little tag has been made from Shrink Plastic Jane has stamped it with one of the greetings from her Hand Drawn Sentiments.

Don't forget to punch the hole in your shrink plastic BEFORE you shrink it!

Black and White Sausage Dog

 I love black and white, this is a very quick card today, even by my standards!

I have used Sausage Dog the Clear Magic stamp from the Francoise Collection. He is simply black on white and cut around.

The card is white DL size, I have cut some black card and used the Woodware inverted corner punch and then tied some of the black Fancy Twine around the card.

I have added the Mark Richard Elements in black to the corners.

the greeting is from the same stamp set.

A very simple card that I think would be good for any dog lover.
