Welcome to another challenge here at Woodware USA!! July is coming to a close, and a hot close at that! We have been so fortunate to have Renee join us as our July guest designer. She has such a talent, and I admire all of the details she adds and color combinations that she employs! Thanks to Renee for helping us this month! Her beautiful card is featured first on our post today!

Our challenge this week is to really use those stamps! When I first started stamping, the backgrounds were always stamped, and I rarely used designer paper! Well, we went back to our roots this week, and we would like to see your stamped backgrounds!

Ok, we all have them! The embellishments that continued to be pushed further back into the craft closet or drawer, just waiting to be used again. Or, maybe you have a type of embellishment that you have never used before. It's too intimidating or you are just hoarding it because you love it so much. Now is the time to blow the dust off and let those embellishments see the light of day. The day has arrived!

Ya know...some weeks I have it and some weeks I don't and SOME weeks I have it... but I forgot where I put it! Well, that is what happened to me this week... so I am posting my clean and simple card a little bit late. I water colored my dragon and cut her out. The I added the embossed "reptile" paper and the ribbon. Since I just had my anniversary... I needed to add the hearts...lovey dovey!

So that is my card. I was worried that clean and simple might be hard for me... but I rather enjoyed the simple process and i am pleased with the result!

Happy Monday Woodware USA fans! How is the weather treating you in your corner of the world? The weather was beautiful in the Carolinas this weekend, but I know that some parts of the US are still recovering from last week's storms. Here is to an early spring!

We have a fun challenge for you this week! Embossing is the name of the game this week -- either dry or wet embossing is acceptable, and the team members have a combination of both in their samples.

Finally, today, we are saying goodbye to two of our team members -- Rachel Baird and Piali Biswas. They have been such an amazing part of this team. Kerry says: I just love these images by Jennifer Garant and I'm so excited to have the opportunity to stretch my creative muse with new experiences and unique images. Jennifer's designs have given me the chance to reminisce about my art experiences in college when I spent every single evening in the fiber arts/ceramics classroom...getting lost in my art... The "Well Built" ladies and "Hefty" gents are full of character and charm and bring LOADS of laughs...they really make me smile. My next set will definitely be "MARTINIS AND WEENIES". It's a hoot!!!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that everyone on this side of the pond enjoyed Thanksgiving! How much weight did we gain? I think it is inevitable, but who can resist turkey and all the trimmings? We should all run an 10K just to burn off the calories!
