Stich in Time

For the spring release Francoise designed a sewing sampler and  Gill has created a great card with it.
Gill
The Sewing Sampler can be used as it is or is great used as sections, Gill has decoupaged some of the elements. Gill has used an A5 card blank and covered it with some paper from her stash that is all stitches. To make the card just a little bit different Gil has folded half of the front of the card back. I like the ribbon down the edge.
Gill1
Gill has stamped on white card and coloured with Water Colour Pencils. Some of the elements have been glossed up with Ranger Glossy Accents
I love the way that Gill has raised up the thimble!
Gill has full details of how she has made the card on her Blog Gill's Crafty Journey so pop over there for more inspiration and tips, thanks for visiting see you soon!

Fabric Stamping and Stencilling

I don't think it works as an outfit but I love the apron!

8

I only have a childs form so the view is a bit limited.

6
here is the whole thing.
2

First I sprayed the apron through the Dutch Doobadoo Fabric Mask Art. I used the Red Fabric Spray a quick effective way to get colour on fabric through a stencil or to dye a small piece of fabric.

3
For the other colour I used ColorBox Crafter's Fabric ink in Aruba
4
I used the Aruba in a few places.
5
I used the Stone Crafters on tissue paper and coloured the images with fabric pens.
I have used the new Zig Decoupage Glue this glue is great and makes it possible to put napkins and other papers on to fabric. The stamp is Jane's Clear Magic Ball of Wool
9
This one is Knit One Purl One also designed by Jane.
10
I think it has turned out pretty and practical.

Boys and Toys

Here we have my take on cards for men,
5
This is one of Francoise's Clear Magic stamps it is called Boys Toys
1
First I stamped and embossed with Bark Powder I have used the Bark Crafters ink pad becouae the powder is not opaque. I have used a large stencil brush and added colour from a  6 colour pigment ink pad from ColorBox.
3
The Woodware Just Words stamps have a brilliant selection of must have words these one are from a set that is perfect for the senior members of the family both male and female Great Grand, works well with other greeting stamps to truly personalize your cards.
6
I have scuffed the edges and added a touch of Rust Spoonful Frantage Kit then the tool brads
2
I have given the main card the Rust treatment too.
4
So well this week I have done a Kim and have a second card!
10
you can see full details of this card on my blog dorrie's doodles.

Blimp!

Today's card comes from Jane the Flower Girl, but not a flower in sight
jANE
Really quite a surprise! Jane has used one of her creatures from the Clear Magic The Blimps. The ripped paper is great for this card the stamp is called Surprise! and has the word on it too. Jane has decoupaged the hole stamp and curved the torn bits, this she has attached with silicone glue.
Jane1
He has been coloured beautifully and the shadow down the side makes him look rather fat! Goggly eyes are always a winner too.
I love this fun card, and I am sure it would be great for boys of all ages!

Boys Will Be Boys

It is get to that time of year again when card makers think about men! Most of us have to make mens cards at some time in the year, and most crafters that you speak to have trouble with it. So we like to give you a helping hand on the run up to Father's Day, don't panic you have a few weeks to go.
Here we have a card from Kim
JGS431
This is a card that Kim made for the Woodware Catalogue with Jane's Clear Magic Cowboy Boots set. Kim has used Water Colour card to stamp on to and then coloured with dye inks and water, this gives nice texture to the images. They have then all been cut out and attached to some Woodware papers.
Kim1
I love the way that Kim has finished off the card with punched stars and the brad and rope all ready fro rounding up some cows!
Over on Kim's blog you will find another version of this card, well worth a visit!

Sparkle and Bubble

Well today is the last day of our Bubble stamps.

The card is from Pam the Pampered Stamper
Pam1
Pam has used the Julie Bubble Bloom Clear Magic Stamp
Pam2
Pam has stamped in embossing ink, and embossed it with Stampendous White Embossing Powder. Then smudged three shades (Denim, Peridot, and Mossy) of Clearsnap® Mixed Media inks over the surface, and used a paper towel to wipe the excess off of the embossing. This is a great smudgy background, that Pam has then used markers to highlight the leaves and stems.
I love the contrast the Pam has created by using the Stickles to decorate the bubbles. Pam has used Stickles in (Mystic Green, Firefly, Lagoon, and Midnight Blue).
Pam has layered on to the Dreamweaver Spiral Dots stencil, which she has run through an embossing machine, and finished off with some dotty ribbon.
Pam3
The greeting comes from the Julie stamp and I love that Pam has stamped the tag with the bubble stamp too then cut it out with the new Stampendous Fitted Frames "A" set.
So I hope that you have enjoyed our week of bubble stamps and you will find lots more inspiration on our Pinterest Bubble Board, thanks for visiting see you soon!

Bubble Bloom - Curly Sue take 2

Today we have a Bubble card from Gill
Gill
yes it is Curly Sue again, but you must admit it is very different to yesterday's card!
Can you guess how Gill has decorated the bubbles?
Gill1

After stamping Curly Sue Gill has used Koi Brush Pens to colour and the image first. Then used the Lilac Blossom and glued the flowers into the middle of the bubbles. When that was dry Gill added Glossy Accents to make the bubble glossy and domed. Such a clever idea I have used Glossy Accent for this but the punching is such a great twist.
You will find full instructions over on Gill's Crafty Journey, thank for visiting see you soon!

Bubble Bloom Curly Sue

Today's  Bubble Bloom stamp is Curly Sue
7
This is Curly Sue I have used her before at the end of last year for white embossing, but no embossing this time.
1
This time I have stamped Sue on a linen square the square is sealed at the edges which makes it easy to use. I have stamped with Evergreen Crafters I heat set it with my heat tool before carrying on.
2
next steep was to stitch the bubbles
3
I used a variation of Rhodes Stitch, well it started off as Rhodes stitch.
4
I used a water brush and the Evergreen pad to colour the leaves. Then trimmed and frayed the fabric. I ironed to heat set and get the creases out.
5
I have used the same stamp to decorate the base card.
6
and my Tag Top punch for the greeting, just for a change! I have also used my Scruffer and edged with ink.
9
I have finished off with some Ric-rac and gingham ribbon.

Bubble Bloom Lynell

Today it is Kim's turn to use bubble for us, and what a great idea
Kim
Kim has used Bubble Bloom Lynell and Zentangle with the help of a Zentangle Book or 2! They are very useful to get you started, I never travel without the cards and some tiles and a few pens when I am off on a train.
Kim1
Kim has inked her edges very gently to give a soft look against the tangles.
I love the chequer board effects that Kim has achieved, I hope that you like is too, thanks for visiting see you soon!

Woodware Bubble Bloom Felicity

For the next few posts we are looking at Jane's Bubble stamps, most of them are blooms, but Jane has  some Christmas designs and other ones too. Jane started off with the stamps and then realised that the work perfectly with Card Candi. but don't stop at Card Candi....

Today to start us off we have a card from Jane the Flower Girl herself
Jane
This stamp is called Felicity and is one of the first ones to be designed. Jane names the stamps after people that she knows.
Jane2
Jane has used Card Candi and self adhesive pearls.
Jane1
The words are from Jane's Wedding Words stamp.
Jane's card is completely white, with silver ink to edge the card, a very good look for a wedding card, and a great look for the bubble stamp.
